This is not proof that just eating Fast Food is good for you, but it does go a long way to say that it doesn’t make you fat. By making the right choices (sticking to the recommended daily intakes), it is possible to eat ‘healthily’ at a chain such as McDonald’s.

The whole idea behind this change, which should have been done years ago, was to change the amount of alcohol consumed in the country. President Dmitry Medvedev, president at the time, said the country was undergoing a “national calamity”. The average Russian drinks the equivalent of 32 pints of pure alcohol per year and about 500,000 deaths annually are thought to be drink-related. That includes 30,000 annual road accident deaths and of several thousand cases of drowning.
